When planning the short and long terms goals for MarTID, our belief was that it would be best to begin simply and grow over time as the utility and value of the database become more and more clear to the community. The growth we envision includes both depth of information as well as breadth, to address education and training needs/approaches in the wider maritime community.
The survey has been successfully tested end-to-end in many places round the world. However, we recognize that there may still be issues that need correcting. We run continuous checks to ensure that the system is operating as required and will continue to do so.

All survey participants/respondents will have access to the reports that result from the survey, primarily via the MarTID website (www.martid.org) and also through appropriate free-to-access media. Since this is a completely non-commercial initiative, there will be no cost to access the annual reports.
